A Swedish politician of Turkish origin has said that he received a racist hate letter.
Mikail Yuksel, chairman of the Nyans Party, told that the letter contained pejorative remarks and read: "Go back to your country."
Underlining that he had been the target of racists and opponents of Turkiye for a long time, Yuksel said this was because his politics, "especially against terrorist organizations and Islamophobia, bothers many people."
Noting that he had received racist letters before, Yuksel said sending letters had become normal for perpetrators, who "don't want me to do politics here."
He also pointed out that the letter includes racist comments insulting Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Muslim people.
A 19-year-old person who had previously sent Yuksel a death threat was fined 5,000 Swedish kronor ($550) last year.
Mikail Yüksel was born in the Kulu district of Konya in 1982. He immigrated to Sweden in 2001.
